Group classes
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Course
Who is this for: puppies from 12 weeks old to 5 months old
How this works: 6 group lessons, each spaced one week apart. Expect to receive homework, instructions should be followed and completed by the following class. At the end of the course, on week 6, the group will test for their S.T.A.R. Puppy certification!
What is included: five 45 minute long group classes, each followed by 15 minutes of puppy socialization
What you can expect when finished: Puppies and owners will go over confidence building, socialization, basic obedience, steps to success when dealing with puppy nuisance behaviors (biting, house training, crate training, jumping, etc), and basic leash manners
Mission Pawsible Force Recruits
Who is this for: Dogs 6 months old and older
How this works: 5 group lessons, each spaced one week apart. Expect to receive homework, instructions should be followed and completed by the following class.
What is included: five 1 hour long group classes
What you can expect when finished: sit, down, address nuisance behaviors, crate training, basic leash manners
MPF Cadets
Who is this for: Dogs 6 months old and older who have passed STAR Puppy, Recruits, or the equivalent
How this works: 5 group lessons, each spaced one week apart. Expect to receive homework, instructions should be followed and completed by the following class.
What is included: five 1 hour long group classes
What you can expect when finished: heel, place, leave it, drop, adding in longer durations, adding distance to commands
MPF Elites
Who is this for: Dogs 6 months and older that have completed Cadets
How this works: 5 group classes, each spaced one week apart. Expect to receive homework, instructions should be followed and completed by the following class.
What is included: five 1 hour long group classes
What you can expect when finished: Off leash reliability, building and strengthening upon what was learned in previous classes with rising distraction levels
Canine Good Citizen Course
Who is this for: Dogs 6 months and older that have completed Elites
How this works: 6 group classes, each spaced one week apart. Expect to receive homework, instructions should be followed and completed by the following class. Week 6 will be the CGC test.
What is included: six hour long group classes
What you can expect when finished: building and strengthening basic obedience, confidence building with and without handler, reliability in high distraction environments, obedience and recall from a distance, a Canine Good Citizen!
